The New Mexico Human Needs Coordinating Council is comprised of over 1200 people and organizations whose affiliations and interests span the widest breadth of health and human needs issues. Interest areas include domestic violence, the elderly, childcare, healthcare, immigration, homelessness, welfare and workforce, poverty and hunger, and peace and justice. All members are volunteers committed to advocacy and action on behalf of New Mexico's residents.
The Human Needs Coordinating Council Steering Committee is charged with governance, community networking, and communication with elected legislators concerning public policy issues related to the HNCC "platform". The New Mexico Human Needs Coordinating Council was founded 20 years ago.
